Massive wall particularly does not fit anymore to the small living spaces, because walls require more space. Then partition becomes the only solution to separate one room to another. Partition commonly used between living room and dining room or separate dining room to kitchen. These rooms are included in public and semi public area, therefore they do not require absolute privacy, but still need outer boundary to distinguish both spaces.
