The popularity of coffee-table book has been depicted in many areas of living in matter of reality or fiction. The Good Morning America where the anchors like; Diane Sawyer, Chris Cuomo, Robin Roberts, Sam Champion and Kate Snow choose their favorite coffee-table books annually. It is an honor made for the invention of coffee table books as a completion of home living.
Besides, it is also ever shown in the number one American television sitcom “Seinfeld”. The character in the sitcom features a host of Jerry’s friends and associates, who include George Costanza, Elaine Benes and Cosmo Kramer.
There was an episode where Cosmo Kramer formulated one of his successful ideas about the story of “Coffee-Table Book and Coffee Tables”. Kramer had an idea of making a coffee table book to have legs built into the back cover and coasters built into the front cover, so the book itself could be turned into a coffee table.
After he made it up into a book published and started promoting it, it was all become a ruin when he by accidentally spitting his coffee over Kathie Lee Gifford. Elaine did also inadvertently cause the end of the publishing company and therefore the end of Kramer’s book.
At the end of the day, it is revealed later in the episode “The Wizard” that the book was being prepared into a movie and the money Kramer makes causes him to move to Florida temporarily. The book itself was full of pictures of celebrities’ coffee tables, and even had a pair of foldable wooden legs.
Well, from the stories above, coffee table books which people definitely must have in modern popular culture of living today emerged another idea of people who wanted to enjoy in another way of entertaining guests or homeowner themselves.
